Amoebiasis is a disease more commonly of the intestines caused by a parasite which is usually seen in people living in tropical areas with poor sanitary conditions. The cysts of the parasite enters your body through contaminated food & water. This disease can cause diarrhea, discomfort in the stomach & abscess in the liver. This test confirms that the parasite has moved from the gut to other organs like liver.
