C4 complement is the fourth component of the classical complement system in your body. There are 9 major complements labelled as C1 to C9 which regulate the immune system by fighting against disease causing agents. Deficiency of C4 complement can be hereditary or acquired as in autoimmune diseases & other chronic diseases. This test also checks if you are responding to treatment.
