Legionella pneumophila IgM

Legionella pneumophila is a bacteria that infects your lungs and causes pneumonia. This disease is called Legionnaire's disease and symptoms include cough, shortness of breath, chest pain & confusion. This bacteria can also infect wounds and cause milder flu like disease. The bacteria is found in water sources like plumbing systems, swimming pools, water tanks & air conditioners. It can also be found in soil. This test identifies the antibody against the bacteria in blood sample.
