Gliadin is one of the most important proteins present in gluten. People who suffer from Celiac disease cannot digest gluten present in wheat, barley, rye products. They develop antibodies against gliadin component of gluten. If this test is positive, it indicates that you may have gluten intolerance. Symptoms of gluten intolerance are persistent diarrhea, stomach pain, bloating, gas, weight loss & sores in the mouth. This test measures only IgG type of antibodies. This is an important test in those individuals who already suffer from IgA deficiency.
