ALDOLASE

Aldolase is an enzyme found in high amounts in your muscle & liver. It helps to convert sugar into energy in your body. Raised blood levels of Aldolase are indicative of muscle damage. This test helps to differentiate between pain due to muscle or nerve damage. In case of pain due to nerve damage, Aldolase levels remain normal but the levels rise if the pain is due to muscle damage.
